Let the elections begin. Monday was the first day for early voting for the November elections.

The race for Albany mayor and Sunday alcohol sales are the two hottest items on the ballot.

One Albany woman always tries to be among the first voters. She says she does not expect Sunday alcohol sales to pass.

"I feel almost like they are going to turn it down," said early voter Geneva B. Collier. "I'm from the old school, I think they can buy their liquor on Saturday."

Early voting continues every business day until November 4th at the Government Center in Albany. Between 30 and 50 people were expected to vote early on Monday.
