Georgia Public Service Commission fights energy tax

Another Agency has stepped up in the fight on Energy taxes.

The Georgia Public Service commission has drafted a letter of concern to be sent to the Georgia House Assembly asking for the removal Energy taxes on Manufacturing plants.

Many believe this tax is putting Georgia businesses behind any outside competition and a big reason for the loss of jobs. The Economic Development Commission of Albany hopes that these efforts will one day provide a solution.

"They need to be in a successful business climate, so eliminating this tax would mean a great deal to Albany as well as the rest of state," Ted Clem, President Economic Development Commission.
