A Valdosta man arrested Sunday for an attempted robbery is now charged with killing his wife.
36 year old Wayne Luberda is charged in the beating death of Maria Rojas Luberda.
Neighbors found her dead inside her mobile home on Wilkinson Avenue Wednesday night.
Police say she was badly decomposed and had been deal for quite some time.
Turns out her husband was arrested October 9th after two robbery attempts and has been in jail since.
After questioning him about his wife's death, he was charged with killing her.
"At this time we're just going to say she was a victim of physical assault we're not going into weapons if there were any weapons," said Capt. Bobbi McGraw.
Police say Wayne Luberda tried to rob a customer in Walmart on Norman Drive October 7.
He was caught October 9th after trying to break into a car.
He's now charged with murder, concealing a death and tampering with evidence.
