VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -
A Ray City man is arrested after an encounter with police.
On Tuesday, Lowndes County deputies responded to a 911 call regarding a vehicle that had struck several vehicles in the parking lot of a physician's office.
When they arrived, they encountered Joseph Sirmans who was seated in his vehicle. Despite several commands, Sirmans refused to get out and was eventually tased and removed from the vehicle.
He was later transported to South Georgia Medical Center for evaluation.
Sirmans was arrested Thursday at his home in Ray City.
He was transported to the Lowndes County Jail and was booked on four counts of Criminal Damage to Property, Reckless Driving and Reckless conduct.
