Albany mayoral candidates answered questions from voters Tuesday at the Dougherty County Rotary Club meeting.

Candidates Dorothy Hubbard and BJ Fletcher spoke to about 50 people at Double Gate Country Club.

The topics discussed included poverty, crime, education and jobs.

Both Candidates told us their ideas on how to bring jobs to Albany and give the local economy a boost.

"We're going to be performing some regionalism so we'll have some collaboration going on between us here in Albany, the city of Albany and local surrounding counties," said mayoral candidate Dorothy Hubbard.

"Jobs are going to help safety. Jobs are going to help poverty. I want to see help wanted signs all over this community," said mayoral candidate BJ Fletcher.

The third mayoral candidate, John White, told us he never got an invitation to the forum. He says he heard some talk about it and tried unsuccessfully to find out the details so he could be there.
