JobLink fair draws a crowd

Hundreds of unemployed South Georgians pulled out their nice clothes and printed out fresh resumes Tuesday.

WALB hosted its JobLink Fair at the Albany Museum of Art, and many students from down the road at Darton turned out.

But, some of the people have had careers for a while.

One job seeker, Steve Spencer, had his job for 16 years and just got let go Tuesday morning.

"There's a lot of unemployment going on in Albany," said Spencer. "I know it's going to be hard to find one. But, I'm determined to find one some way, some how."

The unemployment rate was in Albany was 10.8% in August according to the Department of Labor.
