Lashina Barnes' Chevy Impala was struck by a Norfolk Southern train around 9:30 Sunday night near Stanton and Clark Street in Smithville.

Barnes, 29, told authorities that her Impala stalled as she tried to cross the railroad track.

She and her two passengers got out of the car, and went for help.

By the time she returned, she said the train had smashed the car.

No one was hurt in the incident.
