Knighton Media, Inc has signed a contract to purchase The Albany Journal, a community based newspaper in Albany, Georgia.
What makes this purchase unique is that Knighton Media, Inc. is a company formed to run an Albany area political blog.
It will take affect November 1st.
Knighton Media CEO Tom Knighton says he jumped on the business opportunity when he found out the newspaper was for sale.
Knighton says the current owner of the Albany Journal is planning on relocating to Florida, and needed to sell.
