People in Valdosta are gearing up for Friday's rivalry between the Valdosta Wildcats and Lowndes Vikings.
The game at Lowndes' Martin Stadium of course is sold out.
People all over town are pumped up.
The rivalry game between the Valdosta Wildcats and the Lowndes Vikings is what fans look forward to every year.
While Valdosta cheerleaders dosey doe poking fun of the Lowndes plowboys, Kevin Coggins was tailgating at Martin Stadium.
What are you eating tonight?
"Cat stew, fried cat and grilled cat," said Coggins.
Take a look at Laverne Rome. From head to toe she's decked out in Wildcat and Viking colors. She works at the Lowndes County School system but her children go to the Valdosta schools and Jay Rome her son is a redshirt freshman at UGA.
"I just tried to encompass my whole household and just have fun with this fun filled spirt day of football," said Rome.
"Go Vikings," said a Lowndes Bridgemen Stephen Pritchett.
"Valdosta's going to win," said Wildcat fan Jared Koeppel.
While all eyes will be focused here on this pigskin, one Viking is celebrating Friday's game in a very special way he'll never forget.
Bruce Crooks' son is having a wedding rehearsal dinner at the tailgate outside of Martin Stadium.
"We'll have a barbecue and bring our guests here," said Crook.
Andrew Crook and Laura Carter are getting married Saturday in Valdosta.
"I had a dream Valdosta's going to win tonight," said Sala Prain.
"Lowndes is going to win," said Crook.
So whether you bleed black and gold or crimson and white, there's one thing you can agree on it's a game you don't want to miss.
More than 11,400 tickets were sold for the game that kicks off at eight o'clock.
