A candlelight vigil honored a man killed in a horrible fiery crash. Songs of grief and hope filled the air at the spot where Oree Bowen, Jr. died early Sunday morning.

He lost control of his Dodge Durango on Lippit Drive at Newton Road and slammed into a house. The SUV hit a gas main and burst into flames. A passenger got out but Bowen was trapped.

Loved ones returned to the site to pay respects to the man they say had a positive impact on others.

"Life is too short to hold on to inequity to hold grudges you don't know when the next day is, you never know what's going to happen the next day," says Carolyn Jackson, the victim's sister.

The family told us they appreciate support they've gotten from the community as they cope with their loss.
