Apple unveils new iPhone 4S

iPhone fans have been waiting for this moment.

Apple unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 4S Tuesday and while the new phone looks just like the predecessor, experts say don't be fooled.

"The really radical stuff or new stuff about the iPhone is under the hood," said CNet's Dan Ackerman

With the new A5 dual-core processor, the iPhone 4S is twice as fast as its predecessor, which will make for better game play.

The iPhone 4S now has a faster, higher-quality, 8 megapixel camera.

The new phone will also showcase new voice control software called Siri.

"It's definitely the most ambitious version of this that we've seen in a consumer device ever. At the same time it may be a little too out there for a lot of people to use, especially when they are happy just by clicking on stuff with their fingers," said Ackerman.

Experts say the new software will put the iPhone ahead of its android competitors.

"I don't see any competition for the iPhone 4S right now for the holiday season," said Ackerman.

Apple's mobile devices are getting a facelift with iOS5 operating system.

iOS5 will be available as a free download on Oct. 12 for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, and third and fourth generation iPod touch.

You'll be able to pre-order you iPhone 4S starting Friday.
