A Lakeland man police say is connected to a drug kingpin arrested earlier this year is now in the custody of federal agents.
Troopers stopped Johnny Locklear for a traffic violation Wednesday and found he was wanted on a federal warrant for distribution of crack cocaine.
Corey Miller and Willie Foster were charged under the same indictment and were arrested earlier this year.
The sheriff says the drug investigation has be going on for several years led by the Organized Crime - Drug Enforcement Task Force made up of federal and local agents.
The suspected leader of the operation, Issac Camon, was arrested in March.
