A Lowndes County School bus carrying four special needs children was hit by car Monday afternoon.

65-year old Carlee Neloms of Madison, Florida was headed north on Madison Highway in this Hyundai around 2:20.

As she tried to pass a bus that was turning onto Nashli Drive, her car struck the bus then ran off the road into a tree and a ditch.

The children on the bus were buckled into booster seats.

They're okay, so is the bus driver 44-year old Silver Lenox.

Neloms and her passenger 66-year old Doris McGee are still being treated now at a hospital.
