Albany Police arrest a man after a 20 minute standoff Monday morning, when he barricaded himself inside his East Albany apartment.
The standoff happened about 8:50 Monday morning in the 100 block of Merritt Street.
Police say 55-year-old Jimmy Williams threatened the maintenance personnel for the apartment with a baseball bat, when they came to inspect his apartment.
Police were called, and Williams barricaded himself inside the home.
After about 20 minutes officers talked him into surrendering, and he came out of the house.
Paramedics examined Williams before he was taken to jail, charged with terroristic threats and acts.
