VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Lowndes County Deputy Coroner Walter Wacter says 61-year-old Samuel Carter was headed north on Glenn Road near Dawkins Road in Lowndes County, when his truck ran off the road and overturned.

Wacter says Carter was partially ejected, and that the truck rolled over on him.

He was pronounced dead at 6:50 Sunday night. A passenger survived.

WALB is working with the State Patrol in Valdosta for more information.
