ALBANY (WALB) - Police are investigating a deadly overnight crash in south Albany.
A vehicle crashed through an apartment in the 1500 block of Newton Road and burst into flames. One person in the vehicle was killed.
It happened around 1 a.m.
Residents of the housing complex say either a truck or SUV left the road and struck the building, leaving a gaping hole in the side. The apartment was not occupied and firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to adjacent units.
