Almost 1,300 runners packed Robert Cross Middle School Saturday morning for the 30th annual Westover High cross country meet. 36 schools were represented in the state wide event. In the girl's varsity, Columbus's Kristina Delpesche took home 1st place with a time of 18:02.17. Westover's Ericka Taylor finished 12th with a time of 19:15.31. North Gwinett won the overall team award for the girls.
Pope High took home first place team honors for boys varsity with Patrick Fleming leading the way finishing in 15:18.82. Lee County's Jacob Kennedy finished 3rd overall for the boys with a time of 15:29.23.
