CECIL, GA (WALB) -

We have surveillance video to show you now of some thieves in action inside a Cook County convenience store.

The suspects pried open the door and took more than forty cartons of cigarettes and cash. Investigators need your help in identifying them.

Surveillance video shows a man stealing cigarettes while another grabs a cash drawer full of money. See if you recognize them.

The suspects pried open the door to the Cecil Chevron around 6:30 Sunday morning.

"Those people should be given severe punishment for that because it's not the right thing. It's a very big crime," said Store Owner Vijay Kumar.

They ran out the door with more than 40 cartons of cigarettes and $800 in cash

Investigators don't know which way they went.

"It's two white males coming in driving off in possibly an older Chevrolet. It's got a black cover on the back of the bed," said Cook County Sheriff's Sgt. Freelon Gay. "He took all the precautions he needed to and it's just one of those unfortunate incidences."

Kumar says sales are already down this year. "We are tying to survive in a very tight economy and it's really difficult for us to survive."

On top of what was stolen, Kumar says he'll have to get the front door replaced which will cost $1,800.  "We always have a surveillance camera and ADT security alarm."

Kumar says it's frustrating that people can just break in and steal what you work hard for and he hopes these crooks are caught.
