Dozens of law enforcement officers raided two suspected gang houses in Albany Thursday.

They arrested four people on drug charges, but they did not find any guns or gang paraphernalia.

Tommy Davis and Victoria Coleman at Swift Street, and Cory Mayberry and his brother Anthony Mayberry on Highland, all charged with drug possession.

SWAT officers in full protective gear with automatic weapons guarded drug agents and District Attorney's investigators as they searched 701 West Highland Avenue.

Eight people sat on the front porch handcuffed during the search.

Earlier, officers raided 812 Swift Avenue.

Investigators say members of the East Side Mafia gang had been staying at the homes.

"We had information that some of the ones that were involved in the shooting, or shooting at a police officer a few weeks ago, were staying at that house or associated with the house. We had SWAT to make the entry, and secure it," said A.D.D.U. Commander Major Bill Berry.

Marijuana was found at both homes. A significant amount of synthetic marijuana was also found at the home on Swift Avenue.
