Blazers blast Southern Arkansas, stay perfect

Valdosta State seemed to have fed off their close win over Albany State beating Southern Arkansas 38-21 at home on Saturday.  Blazers drew first blood when quarterback Austen Roberts found Tray Herndon in the endzone for the quick strike to give VSU the 7-0 lead.

Southern Arkansas had come to play though, the Muleriders tied the game when Tyler Sykora fired a bullet to Corey Bailey to knotting things up at 7.  VSU would muster up some more offense later on.  David Bailey took a hand off 59 yards for a touchdown making it a 14-7 Blazer lead.

Before the break, Muleriders evened things up. Sykora found his big tight end Brooks White down the seem tying things up a 14-14 at halftime.@

VSU would eventually pull off the 38-21 win and stay perfect on the year.  They'll play at Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday.
