    Five months after the mysterious murder of a Coffee County woman, people gathered Tuesday night in Douglas to remember her and to launch a community effort to make sure her case isn't forgotten. Friends
    People gather to bring attention to one of many unsolved murders of women in Coffee County.

Investigators are trying to figure out who shot and killed a well known Ray City woman.

The body of 85 year-old Jamie Wright was discovered Saturday morning inside her house on Jones Street. Neighbors who knew the victim very upset tonight as her killer remains on the loose.

"I was devastated I'm not going to lie, I was devastated because we were all so close to her," says Jessica Lisk.

"I feel sick to my stomach, to be truthful, my heart is crushed," says Kerrie Rodriguez.

The victim was found shot inside her home by her daughter. She was so startled she ran outside the house yelling desperately for help.

"A woman came running out saying my mom's been shot, my mom's been shot!" says Lisk.

The community found it strange that  with her constant volunteer work around town and had not been seen since Thursday.

Ms. Jamie, as the community calls her was an active part of Ray city, serving on numerous boards, running a senior center, as well as serving as an auxiliary member for the fire department.

She was also known around town for her selflessness and helpful spirit.

Lisk says,"She is the back bone to this community; she is very much the backbone."
