The Albany State Ram football team shook off its lost to Valdosta State bouncing back with a 35-27 win at Miles College in its 2011 conference opener. The teams exchanged scores in the first half with Stanley Jennings hooking up with Orian Ponder on two touchdown passes. Although, it was Miles taking a small lead into the locker room at halftime.
Late in the 4th quarter, Albany State intercepted a long Golden Bear pass to seal the win. ASU is now 3-1. They'll travel to Indianapolis to play Kentucky State next week.
