ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Folks enjoyed the monthly Nights at D-Town event in downtown Albany Friday night.
Some people had a nice little preview and warmed up with some wine. Verge, the upscale consignment shop downtown, sponsored Sip and Shop.
People had a chance to grab a glass of wine while shopping. The owner hopes to do this once or twice a month as another way to draw people downtown.
"It's a way to get people to come out and bring their friends," said Owner, Jessica Blair. "It also a way for me to say thank you because people have come out and supported us downtown and it's been wonderful."
A couple of doors down, the new sports bar, Booter's, is almost ready to open. The owner says if all goes as planned, it should open next weekend.
