Toys R Us is just one retailer about to start hiring for the upcoming Christmas shopping season. The chain announced today it will look for 1000 new employees in Georgia. Ten percent of the workers Toys R Us hired for the holidays last year are still working there.

Another opportunity for job growth is Goodwill Career Center's new Job Club Program. It breaks down the small details that could be preventing you from landing a gig.

Crystal Askew, Goodwill Career Center, says,"The way they dress, the way that the show up with their resume not quite finished, and even who they use as a reference can affect them. And that's why through the job club we would have participants that will support each other and can bring back what they have been doing to try to get jobs."

Space for that program is limited and the deadline to sign up will be September 30, 2011.
