ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Darton golf coach Bill Jones, III and his team picked up a nice check from the Stonebridge Men's Golf Association.
For the third year in a row, the Stonebridge Association is supporting Darton golf with a one thousand dollar donation.
The money goes to help with equipment, travel and other team expenses.
With money tight for many small college teams, the Stonebridge Association challenging other local clubs to help the Cavaliers try to win a fourth national title.
Stonebridge Men's Golf Association member Tom Rusin said. "We are just really proud to have these guys here. They are an asset to our club. They are an asset for the college. They are an asset for the city of Albany. So, we want to support them."
The Darton golf team won their Darton Invitational and will play in two weeks at the Thomas Invitational in Valdosta.
