SWGTC hosts soft skills town hall

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Intelligence, hard work, and technical skills are all important in the workplace, but there are other "soft skills" that students need to learn.

Southwest Georgia Technical College in Thomasville is hosting the Governor's Workforce Development Town Hall on Soft Skills in Education.

This is part of a series of 31 town hall meetings allowing Georgians to be a part of the establishment of a statewide certification in soft skills.

"The ability to work on a team and get along with other employees and punctuality, dressing appropriately for the occupation. So those skills that are needed in gaining and keeping employment, those skills in addition to the technical skills as well," said School President Dr. Craig Wentworth.

The event kicks off Monday night at 6:30.
