Albany Police arrest a CRIP gang member wanted on racketeering charges, and now ask your help finding the last man wanted in last month's Crips gang roundup in Albany.
Thursday Albany Police arrested Atarius Davis on gang RICO charges. Now Alvin Cross is the last of 56 men indicted in a gang crackdown that saw
Federal, state, and local law enforcement raid homes and businesses August 19th.
Prosecutors are using organized crime laws to charge all the gang members for crimes committed by any gang member. The District Attorney told the gang task force today that gang activity has slowed since the roundup.
" There has been a great chill on gang activity since this arrest. Persons recognize that if I am going to be held responsible for something that other folks have done, that I have become in league with, I am going to avoid that," said Dougherty D.A. Greg Edwards.
The Albany Police Gang Unit put Alvin Cross on their most wanted list.
If you have any information about him, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS. You could earn a reward.
