ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor doesn't have one go to running back in their backfield.
They have several big play threats.
One of those is senior Quentin Heard.
Quentin received this week's WALB Albany Area Player of the Week award from Dr. Paul Michas at the Orthopaedic Associates Clinic on Wednesday.
Quentin Heard rushed for 180 yards in last week's win over Bulloch.
His 80-yard touchdown run early in the second half was a key play in that win with the Knights at the time holding on to a 13 point lead.
It was a run where Heard got plenty of help from his teammates.
Quentin Heard said. "I just remember #41 Fazel Ashan. I was holding on to his back. Trying to push him into defenders. After that I can't remember much."
Deerfield-Windsor is back on the road for a non-region game Friday at Brentwood.
