Albany Tech Students got the chance to beat up some of their teachers. It was all part of their Police Officer Survival Course Thursday at 8am. @
Two teachers for the class put on red protective suits to challenge the students. They even stood out in light rain to go through the police training exercises.
The red man training allows students to get a hands on experience for police raids, those resisting arrest and overall physicality of the job. Each student had to last 30 seconds on the punching bag and one minute fighting with the red man.
"This class also incorporates the notion of stress, nutrition and fitness for law enforcement," said LET Teacher Greg Elder.
Now this class doesn't replace the police academy, but Teacher's hope it will help students.
