Good news for drivers, the average price of gas has dropped about 7 cents per gallon in the past week.
The average price for regular unleaded in Georgia is $3.44 per gallon.
That is below the national average of $3.61 per gallon.
Even though gas is cheaper than last week, it is still about 85 cents higher than it was last year at this time.
One driver says the drop comes at a good time, because driving back and forth from school is expensive.
"I am happy, less money I have to spend that can be used elsewhere, as in food and groceries and stuff, so it is a very good thing," says Latanya Johnson
Gas prices on average are 5.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
