The trial of an Albany man charged with 12 counts of rape and child molestation against four children got underway this afternoon.

Prosecutors hope to put 35-year-old Gregory Lee Lewis in prison for life without a chance of parole if he's convicted.

Lewis is charged with sexually assaulting four children, some under the age of five, from April through June 2010.

The trial is expected to continue through Friday.
