It's always an honor when an athlete has a chance to represent his or her country and wear the red white and blue. Several football players from the area will now find out how it feels to do just that. Twelve South Georgia Noles have made the Team USA American Football Stars and Stripes team. Chavius Jackson, Roman Morrow, Robert Brown, Dontarrius Thomas, T.J. Roberts, Michael Anderson, Justin Smith, Marcus Nelson, Zach Brown, Marcus Brooks, Courtney Love and J.T. Lamar all tried out and made the team.
The team is geared at playing American football in developing countries that have not yet had the entertainment experience of the game.Team USA's first stop will be to South Africa this fall
