State proposes high school curriculum change

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Georgia wants to change its high school system into an environment that will help prepare students for a career.

According to the Associated Press, the overhaul would make classes similar to college courses tailored to what students want to do after they graduate.

Under the plan, students would choose a "career cluster" that would lead them through the classes they need to go on to a two-year or four-year college or straight into a job.

The Board of Education is expected to take up a plan plan sometime this fall.
