Qualifying ended at noon Friday for Albany's Ward 2 Commission seat with just the three candidates who qualified the first day.
The Ward 2 Commission seat was left vacant when Dorothy Hubbard qualified to run for Mayor of Albany.
In Ward 2 voters will choose Ivey Hines, an Albany Pastor who also works at the Marine Base, Melissa Strother a graphic designer and the owner of M. B. Strother Designs, and political newcomer Cheryl Calhoun.
The Ward 2 seat will be added to the November ballot.
