One anonymous citizen receives a just reward for helping out the Albany Fire Department.

A check for $2,250 was presented to the District Attorney for the efforts displayed that helped track down arsonist Alice Michelle Warren in April of 2009.

"They don't come out of the house waving a gasoline can and presenting themselves to the police. An awful lot of investigation and any information we can get is very important," said Arson Investigator Case Manager Drew Lane.

The reward program is part of the organization Help Eliminate Arson Today or HEAT, and the insurance safety fire commission.

Recipients of these rewards have to be nominated by an official sponsor and tips have to end in an arrest.
