The body of a Dawson man has been sent to the crime lab in Macon as the GBI continues to investigate the arson/homicide.

41-year-old Walter Bell was shot multiple times and was found by police in the backyard of his First Avenue Southeast home after neighbors called 911.

Fire fighters were at the home only three hours earlier to douse a fire they're calling arson. The fire was contained to one room of the house.

Investigators would only say today they're investigation continues.

They're asking anyone who may have some information on the crime to call the Dawson Police or the GBI in Sylvester.
