People put on some wacky or stylish ties to raise money for an Albany woman battling cancer. Every year, Albany's Cancer Ties organization picks one person dealing with cancer who is an example of strength and hope.
Haley Tennyson is this year's recipient.
People enjoyed an auction, food, and live music to raise money to help pay the medical and personal costs piling for Tennyson.
They wore ties as a symbol of unity.
Carrie Hutchinson, Cancer Ties Coordinator says,"Our ties symbolize our ties to cancer, to each other, and to our little community."
Doublegate Country Club hosted tonight's 5th annual Cancer Ties fundraiser.
