Moped rider seriously injured in wreck

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A Moultrie man is in the hospital after being hit by a car while he rode his moped Wednesday.

34-year-old Jason Herod was taken to the Trauma Center at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Around 9:00AM Wednesday, Herod's moped collided with a car Sardis Church Road and Dorminey Road. He was badly hurt and has a crushed pelvis, leg and head injuries.

Johnny Blackwell of Norman Park was driving the car.
