Dougherty County police are searching for a motorist who hit a pedestrian and then fled the scene. Authorities say it happened around 11pm Friday near the 3900 block of Radium Springs Road. PoliceMore >>

A man's body was found at 787 1st avenue in Dawson.
Police tell us a 911 call went out about the house being on fire around midnight. Firefighters responded and put out the fire.
Dawson Police Chief Charlie Whitehead says they got another call about 4:30AM, about a shooting at the same address.
After arriving they found a 41-year-old man, lying face down in the backyard, with two gunshot wounds.
The homicide investigation is taking place only feet away from Carver Elementary School.
Terrell County Coroner Bo Hamby tells us the body will be sent to Atlanta for an autopsy Friday morning.
