Just before 9 a.m., a car plowed through the front door of Short & Paulk Hardware store on 82 in Sylvester.

74-year-old Ossie Lee Lowe was driving this white Hyundai Sonata when she apparently have hit the gas instead of the brakes on the car.

The Store manager says the car barely missed a customer and employee.

"She got out of her car and wasn't pulled up as quite far as she wanted to be, so she got back in it and never stopped. She just came on right through the store. There was one lady behind the counter and a customer in front of the counter, right here. Luckily they saw it and both of them got out of the way," said Store Manager Rick Watson.

No one was injured, the car was towed away from the store, and no charges will be filed.
