
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - His Darton College golf team led after the first round of their first tournament of the fall but that didn't sit well with new head coach Bill Jones.
Jones challenged his team to play to their potential after they shot a 305 in Monday's first round at River Pointe Golf Club.
The Darton golf team responded on Tuesday with a second round of 295 and a tournament winning score of 600.
ABAC finished second at 637, South Georgia was third with 640 and Gordon and Andrew finished 4th and 5th.
Joe Sakulpolphaisan shot a 70 on Tuesday and finished at even par to earn the medalist honors.
Darton dominated the individual competition.
Shad Tuten was second at 149 and Austin McNeill and Neil Graham tied for third.
Graham was playing as an individual.
Darton counted a 75 from freshman Robert Robertson who bounced back after an 89 on Monday.
