Offense leading Rams this season

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - One of the best Division II rivalries returns when 12th ranked Valdosta State plays at 6th ranked Albany State Saturday.

Saturday's meeting is the first in four years and comes more out of desperation than anything else since both teams needed a game to complete a ten game regular season schedule.

Albany State is 2-0 and coming off an impressive win over a then 23rd ranked Wingate team Saturday night.

Rams coach Mike White says for the first time in his memory the offense has been carrying the ASU football team.

The ASU offense faces a Valdosta State defense that had five turnovers in last week's win against Newberry.

Mike White said. "Right now our offense is carrying us. I think that is going to be important Saturday. We still come out with a strong showing offensively."

Stanley Jennings said. "Just talk about it every day. No turnovers and doing the 2 minute drill. Be careful with the decision making and all that stuff."

Albany State hosts Valdosta State at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the ASU Coliseum.
