Attapulgus, GA (WALB) - An Attapulgus man is charged with murdering a neighbor. 27-year old Phillip Mosley is charged with shooting 47-year old Jeff Gray.

Gray was found dead near his barn Sunday.

Investigators say Mosley shot him with a shotgun, which they found after a five hour search. "It was very hot out there and they did a very thorough search of the farm. That's a lot of land, 315 acres. And even though they were on four-wheelers, they still had to move slow. They just did an extremely good job of finding what we believe is the murder weapon," said Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin.

Mosley lived only half a block from the entrance to the farm. Investigators say he was a "friend" of Gray's and regularly joined him for barbeques on Gray's farm.
