Albany Technical College honored graduates for their achievements today.

Albany Tech hosted the Fall Honors Day Program to recognize more than 75 spring and summer graduates who exceeded expectations in academics and extra curricular activities.

Administrators say there is now a greater need for workers with specific skills rather than a general 4-year degree.

"Students have worked very hard, in addition to great academic achievements, they have also been students leaders like, honors society and student government," says Pamela Heglar, Student Affairs V.P.

Heglar hopes this award ceremony will motivate students to work hard throughout their academic careers.
