Mitchell County Sheriff Deputies and Georgia State Patrol worked the scene of a multiple car wreck on Highway 19 Tuesday morning.
A semi-truck along with three other cars wrecked around 7:20AM, and amazingly, no one was hurt in this accident.
State Trooper Steven Singletary told us that the driver of one vehicle headed south on Hwy 19, lost control and tried to over-correct. Singletary says that caused a chain reaction.
The Semi Truck driver had to change lanes to avoid hitting a tanker carrying gas. He says after that, the semi rear ended a car and clipped the front of another.
All vehicles were towed away from the scene.
The southbound lane on Highway 19, near the bridge in Baconton was closed for an hour.
