A Berrien County murder suspect who escaped from house arrest and was captured in Florida is on trial this week.

Jurors were selected Monday for John Woods' trial.

Prosecutors say Woods killed Travis Sauls in 2009 then buried his remains in Madison County, Florida.

Woods cut off his ankle monitor in last December and was on the run for three weeks.

He was later captured at a bus station in Perry, Florida.
