Hines said he has served on the Albany Group Home advisory board, the City Citizen Advisory Committee, and the Community Development Council. Hines said he wants to use education and economic development to improve the security for people in Albany.
"I'm not just talking about safety from crime. I'm also talking about the community's ability to ensure and enhance our young people's opportunity for careers and advancement so they will not leave the community and not return," said Hines.
Visually impaired, Hines has served as Pastor for the Thunder Temple Missionary Baptist Church for ten years.
