TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Deputies have found a missing Tift County woman dead in a pond this afternoon.
Neighbors who live off Pebble Hill drive saw a body floating in the pond behind their home around noon, Sunday.
Sheriff's deputies pulled 71-year old Hazel Lee McKeller from the pond about 6.5 miles away from her home on Shanna drive.
There were no signs of foul play. McKeller's husband says she may have been suffering from dementia.
McKeller is known for walking a lot. Her body will be sent to the crime lab in Macon to determine her exact cause of death.
