A search is underway in Tifton for a woman who disappeared from her home in the middle of the night.

Hazel Lee McKeller vanished from her home on Shanna Drive shortly after midnight.

There is a command post set up at G.O. Bailey Primary School, with an aerial unit, and dozens of volunteers searching the area, and handing out flyers.

The Tift Co. Sheriff's Office is joined by the GBI, GEMA, Tift Co. fire fighters, the Parks and Recreation Dept., and the Crisp Co. Sheriff's Office has brought its mobile command unit.

Here is the news release from Sheriff Gary Vowell--

71 year old Hazel Lee McKeller was reported missing this morning shortly after midnight from her residence at 1485 Shanna Drive. 

 She is reported to have walked away on foot from her home.  She is believed to be wearing blue sweat pants, blue shirt and a blue hoody and white shoes.

Mrs. McKeller suffers from medical conditions and is 5 feet 5 inches in height, weight 130 pounds and has white hair.
