Some people in Moultrie want to know more about a deadly police shooting in their neighborhood this week.

Walter Wayne Peterson, 51, was shot in his home during a SWAT standoff Monday afternoon. Some neighbors planned a meeting Thursday  to talk about it. Only a handful of people showed up.

But they think police mishandled the situation.

Tommy Hewitt, meeting coordinator, says "we figure that something needs to be done about and we are fed up and we are tired."

The group plans to meet with the NAACP Monday night to talk more about the issue.

Investigators refuse to identify the officer who shot Peterson, but they say he fired when Peterson lunged at officers with a butcher knife after a taser failed to stop him.
